For my subject on gun violence and its connection to mental illness, I was having a pretty difficult time when it came to making a game revolving around the subject. I had to be carful on how I was going to portray the subject matter due to the fact that the subject matter is sensitive and I want to be as respectful as possible.  I came to realize that my topic would be relatively difficult to make a digital game for since there are already so many types of shooters out there. I decided that I was going to make a physical game to convey the message. I came up with a game that I call Choice  which has the player go around a board trying to avoid players. If they eliminate an opponent they too would be affected due to the fact that gun violence dehumanizes the shooter so in a way they to are hurt when they conduct gun violence.

After the presentation I got feedback that will most certainly help make my games message a lot more clear. The two glaring flaws with my pitch were that there is no incentive for players to eliminate each other, and the concept of gun violence and mental illness in not conveyed as well as I intended. I decided that adding a currency system to the game would help give players the incentive they need to eliminate players. Also to convey gun violence a little better, I decided that each player piece will be a armed civilian that will only attack out of defense.
